Sand castles and cocktails, golden sun and Greek-god tans—is it possible to make a Boracay summer even better?
Havaianas, the world’s favorite flip-flops, is out to prove that it is.
Starting March 31, the Brazilian brand of ultra-comfortable and fashionable slippers will start selling three limited-edition flip-flop designs, the Polka Dots Mono, Nautical Stripes and Logo, in a special Havaianas spot on the beach. These special flip-flops will be sold exclusively to the visitors of the island and will only be available until supplies last.
Polka Dots Mono
Polka dot bathing suits are making a comeback. No longer just lyrics to an old novelty song, dotted suits have recently been featured in the swimwear collection of, to name a few, Speedo and Malia Mills (once picked by the NY Times as the “best bathing suits”). Always the trend-setter, Havaianas will make the Polka Dots Mono style available for Boracay pilgrims this summer, which features bold white dots, on red, green and navy soles.
Nautical Stripes
With thick white and blue/red stripes, Nautical Stripes evokes the fashion and spirit of the French Riviera circa 1950s and 1960s (think: Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief). Havaianas gave the classic white and blue/red stripes, similar designs of which have been recently seen on the fashion runways of Marc Jacobs and the ultra-hip, Gwen Stefani-owned LAMB, a more modern look by giving them a slightly diagonal slant.
Havaianas Logo
For those espousing the clean look of minimalism, Havaianas Logo is the perfect pair. Prominently featuring the Havaianas logo on the straps of a plain-colored sole, Havaianas Logo is simplicity at its best.
So put on some Bob Marley, pack your beachwear and pick from the Polka Dots Mono, the Nautical Stripes or the Havaianas Logo—an even better Boracay is waiting.
Havaianas is available in discerning retail outlets All Flip-Flops, Chocolate Clothing CO., Aura Athletica, Rustan’s, Gas, Celio and Stoked. For provincial outlets, visit www.havaianasphilippines.com.
